Q- How do we find you?
Please follow the directions at the bottom of this page taking note of the instruction not to use SAT NAV.
Q - What do we need to bring?
A torch, suitable footwear and the rest is up to you!
Q - What time can we check in?
Arrival is from 3pm onwards. Keys will be available from 3pm. When you arrive you simply park in the glamping car park, check out the notice board in the car park and that gives you all the information you need to find your key and then your Howf!
Q - Can we invite friends to visit us?
No! Access to Craighead is only for those staying with us. Visitors will be asked to leave.
Q -What is there to do in the area?
Lots! Too much for us to list, its hard to know what you like to do but we have a list of suggestions on our site.
Q - Where are the nearest restaurant/shops etc?
There is a varied selection of restaurant, takeaways and shops in Dunblane/Bridge of Alan aprrox 4 -7 miles from us.
Q - Do you allow pets?
No we do not allow dogs or pets of any kind.
Q - Can we use public transport to get to Craighead?
Yes you can arrive at Dunblane by bus or train and then taxi, cycle or walk to us - approximately 4 miles.
Q - Can I book more than one property?
No, we don't accept group bookings, please note that we do not accept hen/stag parties or groups this includes in the Muckle Howf.
Q - Is there a fridge freezer?
Yes all glamping properties have access to a shared fridge freezer with adequate space, plus cool boxes available.
Q - Can we charge phones and laptops?
Yes, you will be shown the charging point when you arrive.
Q - Is wood provided?
Yes adequate wood is provided for the length of your stay, more wood if required is available to purchase in the shop.
Q - What are the cooking facilities?
All glamping units have a minimum of a two ring burner gas hob, outside BBQ/fire pit.
Q - Can we play music outside?
You can BUT sound travels very far in the countryside and most guests are here for the peace and quiet. Please respect that.
Q - Is there access to WI FI?
No except for the Muckle Howf.
Q - Is there mobile phone reception at Craighead?
Yes reception is very good.
Q - Can we park right next to our glamping unit?
Am afraid not, there is a car park for the glamping visitors which must be used, approximate distances are - Summer Howf 130m, Tree Howf 75m, Wee Howf 130m, The Red Burrow 200m, The Green Burrow 225m.
Q - Are there any good walks in the area?
Lots, but as we don't know the type of walking and distances you are used to, it is best to ask us when you arrive.
