The hot tub is heated using a traditional wood-fired system and requires time and care to prepare. It is checked daily, and drained, cleaned and refilled between each stay to ensure a fresh experience for every guest.

In the event of weather conditions that could cause frozen pipes, the water supply may be turned off. However, alternative facilities will be available in the Wash Howf, while the loo at the Howf will remain in use.

To make the most of your stay at Ash Tree Howf, we recommend bringing a few essentials. Slippers are perfect for cosy evenings indoors, while a torch is useful for moving around after dark. If you’re sensitive to light, a sleep mask is also recommended due to the large star-gazing window above the bed.
Don’t forget a camera to capture the beautiful scenery and wildlife during your stay. You’ll also want to bring food and drinks to enjoy in the comfort of your treehouse, and perhaps a bottle of bubbly for an extra special evening beneath the stars.
