Wee Howf
The Wee Howf, built high on its stilts with the burn running underneath, sits on the edge of our lochan.
Totally surrounded by wildlife and our many animals, while away the hours watching for swallows to dip, fish jump and frogs to call. Red kite will pay you a visit along with many other wildlife friends. When dusk decends light the fire pit and put something on the BBQ and star gaze over the water - it really is a huge open sky. Then retire into your cosy cabin - very cosy - to sit beside your log burning stove and listen to the sound of the burn below. It is quite simply unique and is most definitely not one in a group! All our guests so far have loved it. |

Wee Howf Facilities

What to bring - Slippers are a must, torch, camera, food and drinks remembering that bottle of bubbly and of course time....... to just sit and enjoy this amazing place.
In the evening sit outside by the open fire and enjoy a barbecue by the Lochan. Using the pulley pull a bottle of wine or beer up from the 'fridge in the burn' and enjoy views over the Ochils, or watch the fish jump. In the summer the swallows will dip in the water... You will be treated to lots of birds, wildlife, our two highland cows, soay sheep, ryeland sheep, donkeys. pygmy goats, ponies also turkey's, rhea, geese, ducks, bantams etc.
There is plenty to do in the area in the day but if you don't feel like leaving the 'Wee Howf' you can just enjoy the two acres of grounds and gardens at Craighead.
Kids - sorry but the Wee Howf is not suitable for children.
Dogs - Sorry but we can not accommodate dogs.
